Over 200 residents attended the Remembrance Service on Sunday 13th November at the War Memorial to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts.
The service was carried out by Revd. Ruth Mock, and Mike Whittaker very kindly donated his services by organizing the music and sound.
Wreaths were laid by organisations and a two-minute silence was observed, followed by refreshments provided by The Ark Café. The Parish Council would like to thank Revd. Ruth Mock, Mike Whittaker, and The Ark for all their hard work.
Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
The Parish Council are delighted that the village now has a focal point for quiet contemplation and a place to lay wreaths.
